From San Luis Obispo, take highway 1 or Los Osos Valley Road towards Los Osos.  Turn on South Bay Blvd. and look for the parking lot on the east side of the road, it is very hard to miss.

Cabrillo Peaks has miles of single track ranging from beginning to intermediate levels.  There are a multitude of loops available, so if you are looking for some miles to log there are plenty of options for you.  Basically, the Cabrillo Peaks ride is a roller coaster of sorts with plenty of small climbs and descents.

Check out the Crespi Trail for one of the more interesting sections of the park, and ride up the Like Oak trail to reach the top of Portola Overlook.

The park is very small, and all trails are marked.  IT is nearly impossible to get lost.  This ride can also be accessed from Turri Road, starting with a climb up the Chumash Trail.

Side Trip – Take  a leg off the Quarry Trail left, about a 1/4 mile up from the main parking lot.  This side trip will drop you down to the main road (South Bay).  Turn right on South  Bay and ride about 100 yards.  You’ll see a trail climbing up Black Hill at the nearest intersection.  Circle Black Hill and ride different paths until you find your way back.  Return to Cabrillo the way you came in.
